The shops (including two supermarkets and the famous "Koekhuisje" where you can buy Deventer gingerbread) are about 2 minutes' walk. In Deventer you can do almost everything on foot, center town is small but beautiful and historic.
Parking your car is not free in Devente. IN my street it is quit expensive.
Click for the best parking places here. Of course you can first bring your luggage to my house.
If you arrive on bicycle, you can park in my garage.
The house I live in lies in the heart of the mediaeval center of Deventer, the Bergkwartier. It's origin goes back to 1390.
It is a 5 minutes walk from the train station to my house. Parking is impossible in my street, but of course you can bring your luggage by car and then park elsewhere. (See under Parking)
